The last few days have been a rollercoaster for me, I went from feeling sad and low, to happy and excited, to then confused and anxious and now mellow and somewhat dishearten. It was as if my life was going so slow at one point and then suddenly full pace the next, sometimes we ask and pray for something but then when we get it are we even ready and prepared for what we thought we were asking for? If I sound kind of confused in this post, please forgive me cause I am, I’m at this midlife crisis, where everything just seems to be falling out of place.
Anyways, as I’ve been reflecting on life and everything that has happened so far this year, I thought it would be nice to do an updated life lesson post since my last one did come out exactly this time last year. So here are 18 Lessons I’ve learnt so far in 2018.
1. Don’t be too hard on yourself. You are doing enough, everything takes time.
2. This life really is short, be sure to always remember that.
3. Call and text your family and friends more, don’t just presume they’re okay.
4. Money is replaceable it comes, it goes, it comes and then it goes again.
5. If your intuition is telling you something is not right, something is not right.
6. Hard work always pays off in the end, work your butt off.
7. Life is what you make it, some are happy with less so stop complaining.
8. Choose those who choose you.
9. Follow your gut, even if everything else does not make sense.
10. People change and that’s okay, know when to reach out and when to let go.
11. There is no right or wrong path, it’s just what you decide to make from the path you choose.
12. If you don’t try you will never know.
13. Don’t be so lazy, say yes and leave your house more.
14. Patience is importance stop comparing and enjoy your journey.
15. Don’t be so stubborn in the end, you just end up loosing.
16. Mistakes lead to the best outcomes, you just have to realise you made a mistake first and then learn from it.
17. Stay focus and driven, and most importantly never doubt yourself.
18. If you’re praying about it, God is working on it.
